The Citizen’s Police Academy is a program that provides Stratford residents with a first hand overview of the law enforcement and community related functions of the Stratford Police Department. Instructors for the program will be highly trained and experienced Stratford Police Officers. There is no fee for the 11-week program. The program will run on Thursday Evenings from 6:00pm-7:30pm  February 26, 2026 through May 7th, 2026. 

 

Due to limited capacity, qualified applicants will be subject to a lottery drawing to determine the final class roster.  Applicants who are Stratford residents or employed in Stratford or volunteers with a Stratford community organization will receive priority enrollment in the program.

All applicants will be subject to a Criminal Records Check. Stratford Police Department reserves the right to deny or remove applicants for past or current activities that may be detrimental to the program and its attendees.
